As a further move to continue their international expansion,
Alexander Street Press today announced the appointment of two
senior roles in its International Division, based in Stevenage
(UK). Andrew Hall joins on September 6 as Managing Director,
taking on full responsibility for all aspects of international
business development, while Hayley Harris has joined as Sales
Director with direct responsibility for developing new business
and managing account relations in the UK and Ireland.

that we have the right people on board, so we’re very excited
about these new appointments,” said Stephen Rhind-Tutt,
president of Alexander Street Press. “Andrew Hall and Hayley
Harris have enviable track records within the library market
and bring a wealth of experience to our organization. I am delighted

in expanding the International presence of our company.”
Hall has more than 11 years’ experience in the publishing
industry. His career began in 1995 when he worked in sales for
Longman Academic Publishers (later Addison-Wesley Longman) before
joining Chadwyck-Healey in 1997 and reaching the appointment
of Sales Director, UK, Ireland, and Northern Europe at ProQuest
Information and Learning. Harris also has more than 10 years’ experience
in the industry, holding Key Account Manager roles at Palgrave-Macmillan,
ProQuest Information and Learning / Chadwyck-Healey, and more
recently at Talis Library Systems.
Hall said of the appointments, “Globally, Alexander Street
Press are at the forefront of electronic publishing in the humanities,
and both Hayley and I are excited about the times ahead. With
products such as Theatre in Video, Music Online, and Social Theory,
and others in the 2007 pipeline, the company is well set for
continued expansion. Hayley and I are committed to an excellence

as the company moves forward.”
